I am on Day 5 of the Detox Plan. It has been super easy to follow. I have two young kids and i teach online classes very early in the morning. This has been wearing me down. Since I’ve started the detox plan, I just quit coffee cold turkey and started drinking the smoothies. The smoothies have been much more effective at giving me energy! Coffee was making me sick and sluggish. And I didn’t even realize it. This is the first diet I haven’t been starving between meals, and I’m actually enjoying my meals! I have a goal to lose at least 20-30 pounds, and I am down 3.5 pounds so far. I hope to continue the weight loss, but I’m also so grateful that I feel good while working toward my goal. I haven’t felt “good” in a long time.
The meal plan was easy to follow and also easy to make. Tasty and satisfying. I had a glow on my face and skin. I will definitely be doing the detox again.
I really loved everything! The thickies were delicious and filling. The dinner recipes were also excellent. I love to cook, but I get stuck in my routine. These recipes are simple but deliver on flavor! I love the simple ideas, satay sauce, creamy pasta sauce, and beans in pesto is such a great way to incorporate protein!
I think all of the weight I lost came off my belly which is good. After I went back to eating meat and dairy, I did notice feeling a bit heavier/less energetic in general. The thickies were very filling, and instead of chugging them in one sitting, I kind of finished over the course of an hour or so. Lemon Meringue Thickie blew my mind. :) BBQ potato crisps will definitely stay in my life.
I lost 7.8 pounds during the 7 days. I definitely noticed an improvement in energy. I used to need a cup of coffee in the morning and another again in the afternoon. I am able to get through the day without feeling like I need caffeine to make it. I think for only being a week that is a big improvement.
I also noticed I am now sleeping through the night again. I do seem aware of more dreams but before I would wake up during the middle of the night and could not go back to sleep. Now I sleep through or if I do wake up I go right back to sleep.
I also don't seem to crave as many sweets or carbohydrates like I did before I started the diet. Before I would crave them everyday.
